How to beat competitors branding

Create a Brand That Stands Out

Sometimes it can feel difficult trying to stand out in a crowded market. Strong branding can help with this enormously, so we’ve put together a set of tips to help you get started. Good luck, and don’t forget that we’re here to answer your questions!

Do things differently

When you’re building your brand, you want to make sure that it’s not the same as your competitors. You should have a different packaging design, a different colour scheme; you should be doing whatever you can do differentiate your product from the masses. If you’re looking at a shelf of products that are all the same colour, the same shape, the same flavour, except one product is completely different – your eye is going to be drawn to that one product.

Use your USP

What makes your business unique? Let’s say that you produce vegan ice cream. That’s a great selling point, but you need to make sure people know about it. If you show clearly on your branding what makes you better than your competitors, then people are going to be intrigued and look at your product more. Advertise that the ice cream is “suitable for animal lovers”, or “an activists ice cream”. Make sure that your potential customers know it’s a healthy ice cream that’s ethically sourced but has the great taste of normal ice cream!

Have a personality

Branding is the way of showing your customers the personality of your business. Just like your personality, the personality of your business won’t be the same as anyone else’s. You can use this unique voicing to stand out from your competitors.

Talk to your customers

The customers you already have probably have things in common with the customers that you want to attract, so why don’t you use this to find out more about them? Not only can you build stronger relationships by talking to your customers, but you can find out what attracted them to your brand. Finding out straight from the people whom you are selling to what they like and dislike can be invaluable.

I hope that this blog post has helped you understand more strategies for creating strong brands that will stand out from your competitors. If you have any more questions on this topic then don’t hesitate to get in touch with The Yorkshire Marketing Company.
